The Lucent Metallic collection features a metallic, leather-like finish and limited edition silver-toned colours. In typical Issey Miyake fashion, the Bao Bao bag connects fashion, art and technology with an almost invisible magic. This bag is constructed from a flexible grid of leathery vinyl triangles linked together with polyester mesh and is like clay in the hands of a sculptor - its shape and composition entirely at the whim of its owner. Issey Miyake
Japanese designer Issey Miyake had an infamous preoccupation with geometry and technology. Issey Miyake is hailed by artists, designers and fashion houses as one of the most influential creatives of the century, and was perhaps most famous for his eponymous boutique perfume line and lightweight, un-creasable clothing line, ‘Pleats Please’. He was also the man behind Steve Jobs’ black turtlenecks, the Lithuanian Olympic uniform in 1992, and the founder of his own design museum in Tokyo.
